Word Predication Software is software that predicts the correct word after typing only a couple of characters. Predictions are based on spelling, syntax, and frequency. Word prediction is used in Web browsers and also available for word processors to lower the number of keystrokes required by turning abbreviations into words or by learning a user's word patterns.
Word prediction software helps kids who struggle with writing to use proper spelling, grammar, and word choices with fewer keystrokes.

I like the idea but in use this could cause problems much like cell phones today. Predictive text changes words, but what if the child becomes more confused than assisted by the app. It is interesting though that the same software on cell phones can be used in a classroom to help teach.
